Join our client’s dynamic team as the first Software Project Manager for this rapidly growing company. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be responsible for traditional Project Management with some knowledge of Scrum methodology. Your role will involve overseeing workflow and ensuring adherence to project schedules, which will be crucial in driving the company’s success and shaping its future.

**This will be the first Project Manager they hire.

What will you be doing?

• Develop and implement a project management framework, equipping software teams with the tools to size up tasks effectively
• Work closely with technical team leads to ensure that new development and features align with strategic goals and are efficiently delivered on a weekly release cycle
• Estimating and scheduling tasks for software development teams
• Ensure software development projects consistently meet quality standards and are delivered on time
• Long-term planning, time tracking, and schedule monitoring
• Manage project timelines and facilitate communication between teams and stakeholders
• Optimize resource allocation and mitigate delivery risks

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related major
• 7+ years of experience in project management with a firm developing commercial software, prefer AI/ML experience
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, preferably with hands-on experience in both Scrum and Kanban
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams
• Proficient in project management software such as Asana, Jira, etc.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Experience with enterprise software development
