As a Patient Support Specialist, you will work as part of the team to respond to inbound calls regarding patient inquiries related to Covid-19 testing and services, Clinic visits, treatments, services and insurance billing inquiries. You will be responsible for providing patient information in accordance with HIPAA compliance requirements when providing Protected Health Information. You will respond to customer inquiries regarding billing statements, issues related to possible customer reimbursements and general inquiries related to Clinic claims. Additionally, you will work with other areas within the Clinic to obtain the necessary information to resolve patient concerns while ensuring optimum levels of customer satisfaction by serving each caller according to the companies vision, mission, and values.
Training is done remotely via Microsoft Teams and is from 9:00AM – 5:30PM EST and typically 3 weeks, followed by 2 weeks of 9:00AM -5:30PM EST shifts.
After training is complete, the work hours will be 11:30AM-8:00PM EST weekdays with 1 weekend day (either Saturday or Sunday) required (1 day off during the week).
This role is an entry-level position.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year continuous call center experience, preference for inbound call work.
- 1+ years of experience using Excel, Word, and/or Outlook in a professional or academic setting.
- High speed, reliable internet service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epic or an Electronic Medical Records system.
- Medical insurance verification and experience explaining coverage to patients.
- Healthcare billing experience.
Education: Verifiable High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
Pay Range: $17.00 – $29.88
